Schone rivieren
The issues surrounding the pollution of the Dutch rivers has brought together three non-profit organizations (IVN, PSF & SDN) that have collectively founded Schone Rivieren (e.g. Clean Rivers). We have four main pillars where we take action together with volunteers, other organizations and governmental institutions:
Cleaning the rivers
Doing research
Exploring the rivers
Finding solutions

Schone Maas
Schone Maas was the first project that eventually resulted in the national Clean Rivers project. Schone Maas started in 2012 with preparations for the pilot that took place in 2013 with five Limburg municipalities, site managers, Rijkswaterstaat and the province of Limburg.

Maas cleanup
Clean rivers, better business. Companies, together with water managers and social organizations, will clear the mesh of plastic in one day and look for structural solutions that are necessary to solve the litter problem.
